Burke Barnett was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri. He went to Drury University, where he received his International Political Science degree, with minors in Asian Studies and Global studies.
Burke has also visited Beijing several times, spending a cumulative total of around 9 months in the city. During these trips, Burke has studied Mandarin Chinese, lived with a host family, learned about Chinese law and culture, and interned at the Chinese law firm, Lehman, Lee & Xu. He also enjoyed exploring the city, chatting up the locals, and finding delicious places to eat.
As a result of these experiences, Burke decided to specialize his legal education in International Trade & Finance and Business & Commercial law. After graduation from law school, Burke decided to move to Idaho with his wife, where he joined the team at Ramirez-Smith Law.
At Ramirez-Smith Law, Burke works on Criminal and Immigration law. In addition to this work, Burke also has experience in Personal Injury law, Evictions, Contracts, and Wills.
When not practicing law, Burke enjoys reading, playing video games, and spending time with his family. He also enjoys hiking in the foothills and walking his dog along the Greenbelt in Boise.
